Daughter of Hecuba and King Priam with a knack for seeing the future.

Known as the prophetess of doom, Cassandra saw all of the biggest disasters - the calamity that Paris would bring, the Trojan horse as a Greek ruse and the murder of Agamemnon. But no-one believed her.

The God Apollo was smitten by Cassandra's beauty and gave her the gift of prophecy but, as with all gods, Apollo didn't give anything for nothing and expected a little love action in exchange. Imagine his suprise when she just said 'thanks' and added an extra bolt to her already Apollo-proof pants.

He was astounded by her audacity and while he couldn't take back his divine gift he could bolt on a little rider... She was doomed to have no-one believe a single word she said. This was rather unfortunate because she saw all of the major disasters coming from miles away.
