The quick-thinking nurse of Alcmene.

Spotting Eileithyia performing all kinds of body contortions and magical chants to prevent the birth of Heracles she tricked the goddess of childbirth into releasing her vice like grip on Alcmene's womb by shouting 'it's a boy!'

But there were no happily ever afters as Heracles was hounded non-stop by Hera until the day he died and Galanthis was turned into a weasel for interfering in Eileithyia's business.
