(Greek Mortal) THESEUS

The Legendary King of Athens.

He was the result of a complicated one night love triangle involving Poseidon and the King of Athens senior, Aegeus.

Apparently Aethra had a bit of both but it was the horny old sea god who actually impregnated her. Not that Augeus was bothered who's it was, he was having none of it and did a runner, but not before he buried some sandals, a sword and some other personal bits and bobs under a huge boulder in Troezen.

'Hey woman, when he's old enough have Theseus, that's what he is going to be called, try to move this stone and bring my stuff to me. I'll be in Athens.'

Theseus was the ripe old age of sixteen before he moved said boulder and set off to find his dad.

He was a bit of a hero to the common man and made a point of inflicting those who preyed on the innocent with a nasty case of their own medicine. Sinis and Sciron both met untimely ends when Theseus came by, and he also defeated Minotaur, though charading as a sacrifice and stabbing him as he slept is hardly the sort of behaviour you woud expect from the hero type.
