(Hindu Deity)MATSYA

The tiny little gold fish discovered in a pond by Satyavrata who took it home and put it in a bowl in his palace.

Pretty soon it had out grown the bowl, the river and the Ocean at which point Satyavrata thought it was time to ask what the hell was going on.

It turns out Matsya was Vishnu in his first Avatar, and he had come to save the earth from the great floods that were on their way.

No sooner had he finished explaining the situation than the rain clouds formed and Matsya gave the king his instructions.

'Pretend you're that Noah dude from the quite famous foreign book, build an Ark and collect samples of every plant and creature on earth. Chop-Chop, time is of the essence'

So he did, and loaded them up into the boat. Matsya had by now transformed from a tiny little gold fish into an inconceivably huge Golden Fish and he towed the boat around the world until the stormy waters of devastation had subsided.

Matsya also retrieved the sacred Vedas of knowledge after Hayagriva stole them from Brahma.
